Mr. International Rubber 2005 & Rubber Blowout Weekend in Chicago is just one week away.

The Transformation's Begun

I just stopped by Cell Block, and the work's underway to prepare for next weekend. The contest stage is being built, and the Front Bar, the Holding Cell, and especially the Yard are all starting to take on their Rubber Blowout Weekend identities.

Registration forms from across the country (and around the world) have continued to arrive via fax, email and snail mail. If you haven't sent yours in yet, download the forms on the MIR site and get 'em to us here in Chicago.

Now Over $6,500 In Prizes

Last week I told you we had just passed the $5,000 mark, and today I can tell you that over $6,500 in cash and prizes will be awarded to the contest winners as well as the weekend attendees.

That's two great opportunities for you to join us: as one of the contestants onstage, or as one of the crowd cheering them on.

Just Added: Thursday Night Pre Weekend Welcome Party

Due to the number of guys arriving from out of town on Thursday, we've added a Pre Weekend Welcome Party -- an informal gathering hosted by The Chicago Eagle on Thursday, November 11.

The party kicks of at 10:00 PM at The Eagle, and will be a chance to hang out and hook up with your rubber buddies before the crowds arrive on Friday.

Rubber Gear Swap Meet

When you're packing for the Weekend, don't forget your extra gear. There'll be a Rubber Gear Swap Meet on both Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
