MIR Hotel Block Now Open!
Each year we try to sell out the host hotel and each year we seem to fall short. (Remember the wedding party from last year?)
So this year, we've set up the room block early and you can place your resevations NOW!
So you are probably asking yourself, "Why should I make my reservation now? I don't know if I'm going yet!"
Well here are a few things to think about.
- Making your reservation now guarantees you a room at the closest hotel to MIR events.
- You can cancel your reservation with no penalty charge to you just 24-hours prior to your check-in time!
- There is no charge or block placed on your credit card until you actually check in!
So what are you waiting for? Call now and lets get the whole hotel reserved for rubber!
MIR at IML
Mr. International Rubber will return to the vendors market at International Mister Leather from May 25 - 28, 2007 in Chicago, Illinois.
IML is the grand daddy of all fetish events, now going into its 29th year, and attracting more than 10,000 men from around the globe. Each year we do our part ot ensure IML gets a good injection of rubber as well!
We're looking for a few good rubber guys to help us out at the MIR booth this year. If you're interested in volunteering, send us an email and we'll get back to you with more details and avialble shifts.
Volunteering at the MIR booth is a great experience, as you get to stay in one place while all the rubber and leather guys come to you! It's like being at a rubber and leather parade! You never know who will walk by or what will happen. The MIR booth is always a center of attention.
All we ask is that you talk to people about MIR at some point between gropes, grabs and shines! That's not to much to ask is it?
Mr. M.E.C. Rubber France Contest
On March 31, 2007 the French Rubber Club Mec En Caoutchouc (M.E.C.) will hold their second annual Rubber Contest.
MEC has had a long standing relationship with MIR, including MIR2002 Yannick Kerjose, and the 1st Runner Up in 2007, Eric.
A great weekend will be had by all in attendance. Trust me the Frenchmen know how to party!
"Skin Tight" Now Available!
Fetish Author Tim Brough helmed the influential Rubber Rebel and Vulcan America magazines, and has also served as a judge for several Mr. International Rubber Competitions.
Now he has created a comprehensive men's rubber guide in book form. "Skin Tight: Rubbermen, Macho Fetish and Fantasy" includes chapters on rubber care, the evolution of the Rubber Pride flag, rubber clubs, an essay by rubber balloon fetishist Buster, and much more.
Tim helped MIR celebrate our Tenth Anniversary by writing a history of our contest, and you will find it incorporated in this book as well. In thanks for all the work Tim has done for us, we thought we'd give his book a plug.
For a limited time, Tim has partnered with Grey Rose Video to sell a bundled version of the book along with the DVD "Buster's Rubber Adventure", featuring the notorious Balloon Fetishist Buster.
Maurizio On The Move
Mr. International Rubber 2007 Maurizio Iacone continues his work to represent the rubber fetish community and the title of MIR2007. Most recently he was seen in Mannheim, Germany at the Mr. Leather Baden-Wurtemburg Contest and in Rome, Italy at the LC Roma Piss Party.
